From Canadian Indian stock, John has an attractive country-artistry of which he should be rightly proud. Although a new name to me, this is a name not to be missed, his blending of the new-and-old folk-flavourings is 'unpolluted inspiration'. Tender-on-the-ear, one is engaged by the warmth of his story-telling. Progressive sessioners share the recording studio with him on this memorable session. Firmly into story-ballad material that's urban-friendly, conversely it is country too, clear, direct, and honest. Highlight tracks are copious.
